Lingvit (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates lingvit.com and the Lingvit translation service. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Account data — email address and name when you sign up.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, and browser/OS via standard server logs.
Translation data — text content your sites send for translation, stored temporarily for caching then purged.
Payment data — processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.

How we use it

To provide and improve the translation service.
To send product updates and security alerts (you can unsubscribe at any time).
To detect abuse and enforce our terms.
To generate aggregate analytics about how the service is used.

Data storage and retention

Account data — retained while your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion.
Translation cache — stored for up to 30 days, then purged.
Server logs — retained for 90 days.

Your rights (GDPR)

EU/EEA users have the following rights under GDPR:

Right to access your data.
Right to deletion — email [email protected].
Right to data portability.
Right to object to processing.

Cookies

The dashboard uses strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. Our public-site analytics do not set cookies and are disabled when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or fingerprinting.

Third-party services

Stripe handles billing. Plausible provides aggregate public-site analytics when enabled. Translation processing may use the production translation provider identified in our current subprocessors notice; we do not send translated customer content to analytics.
